My name is Ivan and I'm looking for a great family to chill with. I am a pretty laid-back guy that enjoys going for walks and laying by my person's side. I came to the shelter as a stray, so not much is known about me, but I am a big teddy bear looking for some love. I hope I can make that perfect addition to your home. I am about 7 years old and weigh 72 pounds.

"CHESTER" cuddly sometimes shy Terrier mix

ADOPTED!
May 2015

Available for adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!

here's my Mcas weblink (5/5 has an adopter)

ps - I'm in a different area of the shelter, please ask to meet me!
Hi there! My name is Chester and I'm looking for a loving home. I can be a little shy at first, but once I warm up, I am a very affectionate little guy. I enjoy going for walks and relaxing with my people. I am very cuddly and would like nothing more than to sit at your feet at night and watch a good show. The shelter is recommending that children in the home be over the age of 12 years old because I can get scared easily and the little guys are too overwhelming for me. I hope we can work together on building my confidence and creating a great relationship together. Please come down and meet me! I am about 8 years old and 11 weigh pounds.

Hello, my name is Uno! I'm a handsome gentleman with a cheerful attitude. My family is unable to care for me and my buddy Lucy (May 2 - Lucy has been adopted, but I'm still available!) so sadly we are searching for a new one. I have peacefully coexisted with dogs, cats, am housetrained, and already know a bunch of tricks. It would be great if my buddy Lucy and I could stay together, she is really bonded to me. If your heart is big enough for the two of us, please come down and say hello. I am 14 years old and weigh a hefty 76 pounds

"GINGER" (aka Penelope) pretty Aussie mix

ADOPTED!
May 6, 2015

Available for adoption with Multnomah County Animal Shelter

here's  my Mcas weblink

Hi! My name is Ginger and I was named for my sweet disposition. As you can see I am a beautiful girl weighing in at lbs, that could use a great home that's willing to love me as I deserve! A good diet, gentle brushing, a soft bed and to be adored are just a few requests I am asking for. I am an active girl that will need plenty of exercise to keep me settled. I really enjoy my walks and balls and squeaky toys are super fun! I have lived with both cats and other dogs and I did great! I will need some work on greeting new dogs though. It would great if we could attend classes together to help with my leash reactivity. I am super smart and eager to learn. My new adopters will also need to have a secure fenced yard that is at least 6 feet tall and I will need to be supervised while outside. I have been known to jump fences and I will need guidance and support for that. Please ask your adoption counselor about tips on dogs that can escape. Don't let that deter you though. I am a really big sweetheart that deserves the best! I am around 4 1/2 years old.

"STITCH" update - big Boston Terrier

Apr 22, 2015

here's Stitch's info on their Petfinder page:
If you're looking for a dog that doesn't bark at everything - here's your boy. His foster has tried pretty much everything to get him to bark and nothing's worked. It could be that he can't bark, but he may surprise us one of these days. However, his snorting and snoring more than make up for the lack of barking, even though it won't bother the neighbors. He's very much a love who wants to follow you around and be where you are. Stitch is potty trained, neutered, microchipped and up to date on shots. He knows some basic commands like sit, down, no, off, leave it and come. He is very calm for a Boston Terrier but still likes to play with other dogs or chase a ball. He is good with other dogs and kids who treat him nicely. Stitch does need a home without cats. He is 6 years old and weighs 35#.

If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application on our website at sccpets.com.

"FIGARO - lovable insecure doxie/chi mix

ADOPTED!
Apr 2015

Available for adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!
In an MCAS Foster home

here's my Mcas weblink
id # 566183

Figaro is currently in foster care. If you are interested in him, contact Alix, the Foster Coordinator, at alix.womack@multco.us or 503-988-6247 to set up a time to meet him :) He is a 3 year old, 7lb Chihuahua/Dachshund mix who loves to be held and sleep in bed with his person. He is house trained and crate trained and walks well on a leash. He is fine with other respectful dogs and would like a home with kids 12 and older, or no kids. We don't know how he is with cats. He loves to play fetch with soft toys and hardly ever barks. He is scared of men, so he would do best in a home with no men. He is very fearful of strangers in his home or car, but does fine when he meets them on walks or at their homes. Ask about Figaro today!

"SLINKY" lovable insecure Pitmix pup

ADOPTED!
May 2, 2015

Available for adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!

here's my Mcas weblink

Hi there, my name is Slinky because that's kind of how I move. I'm an 8 month old pitbull mix and I weigh about 42lbs. Because I'm not real confident, the shelter really hasn't been able to find out much about my behavior. Due to my shyness the shelter recommends a quiet home where kids are at least 12 & up. I 'm looking for a home where my new owners will take me to reward based obedience classes and continue my socialization. A private consult with a trainer may be needed so my people can learn how to best overcome my fear issues.

Available for adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!

here's my Mcas weblink

Hey there! My name is Fritz and I'm in search of a new family. I came to the shelter as a stray that was very scared. Nobody here knows much about me except for I am a little sensitive, but become playful and animated when I'm comfortable. I just need someone to help build up my self confidence. Did I tell you how much I love my treats? That will make training super easy for me. I am so eager to learn new things. I hope you are excited about building that bond between us. For now I would prefer that children in the home be over the age of 6 years. If you think I sound like a great match, come on down and meet me today! I am about years old and weigh pounds
