"MINDI" - LOVE this dog!!!

 ADOPTED!!!
(now known as Leia)
Nov 22, 2015

Mindi is a sweet friend to everyone she meets!
She needs a better home this time....
Someone smart and wise and compassionate.
A good dog owner.
Someone who will love her, and walk her, and will be patient with the transition between a long shelter stay and a home.

She has a sweet acorn shaped little face and a compact medium size body.
She is definitely a MUTT (a good thing!)
maybe some cattle dog? pitbull? lab? what else who knows, and it would be fun to do a DNA test for Mindi.

Why is it, that sometimes the very best dogs like Mindy take the longest to find good homes?
Well, for one thing, (they may have a lot of "canceled adopters")
and like Mindy, they could show stress when in their kennels (which is a turn off for adopters - dogs are trying to say, Look at ME! Here I am, I want to be with You...but people just interpret, as "Noisy, yuk, I don't want you!)  , often because they want to be with people in a nice calmer place

Available for Adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!

Hi there! My name is Mindi and I'm looking for a new home. I am a social girl that loves people. My new family should be prepared to take me for lots of walks and give me lots of playtime. I really enjoy tug toys and tennis balls. As you can see, I have had puppies in the past, but those days are over. I am looking forward to a life of luxury and relaxation. I have shown a little too much interest in kitties and bunnies, so please none of those in my new home. I am about 2 years old and weigh 58 pounds. Please come and meet me today!

here's me - resting in the Volunteer office today

Here's me back when the weather was warmer and I was wearing my summer scarf
and the grass was warm and smelled really good - at least to people

I love to sniff there are lots of interesting smells!
more like dog pee ;)
