"BRUTUS" expressive Boxer/Mastiff

ADOPTED!!!
Feb 2015

Brutus is a very nice boy, and young and playful. He is very big and strong, and needs someone able to take him on daily walks. He is too strong to walk just with a leash hooked to regular collar, but
it helps enormously to handle his strength by walking  Brutus on a "Front Clip" (in other words - leash hooks  to harness at the front of chest) or using a  Face/nose collar (like a "Haltie or Gentle Leader_)   He has lots a potential and seems to really like playing with some of the other dogs that he has met

Oh dear, how did I end up here? My name is Brutus, and I'm a big boy! I'm about 2 years old and weigh 93lbs. In my last home I did well with other dogs, and kids. What I did not do well with was being left alone uncrated. I really want to be with my person and get anxious when I'm by myself so the shelter recommends crate training and food puzzles to keep me occupied and out of trouble. The shelter is requiring that we attend positive-reinforcement training together to help my confidence and refine my skills, especially with leash walking. If you provide proof of pre-paid classes the shelter will offer a discount on my adoption. Isn't that awesome? I'm neutered, and ready to go home with my new family.
